I have been traditionally trained in multiple styles of dance, starting with ballet, tap and jazz. As I continued my dance journey I did hip-hop, contemporary and lyrical. In college I was in a modern based dance program, this type of training truly let me find a way to incorporate these multiple styles together. I would say since I grew up doing many different styles I knew I would always carry on a whole new sort of personalized style. I have a flowing movement while I also bring dynamics.
This opportunity would have a huge impact in my life for many different reasons. The first would be the exposer that I would get as a dancer. I can honestly say after graduating college with my BFA in dance, I haven't had many chances to get myself out there. It's my dream to work with amazing artist like this that just understand music and dance. I believe that I can show case that and bring that style Ciara has carried throughout her career. Being seen by the world, others will be inspired.
First I would help my parents with college loans and mortgage. This would bring me out of debt, so that I could now go and have my own dance studio. This is a business plan I've had for years, but haven't had the money for the licenses or the space. So I would make getting my dance studio my second priority. If I won this money wouldn't only contribute to me as a dancer, but any upcoming artist in NYC. This is a business that can grow big for me, my family and anyone with a passion for dance!
