Help me compete to become the Dance Icon and appear in a music video with Ciara and win $20,000!
I grew up dancing on an old-time viral dance app- Dubsmash. I was rapidly gaining followers, thousands by the day all from an almost 13 second hip-hop dance that I made to a Rihanna song. Afterwards I began to keep dancing for fun, participating in dance classes as well as doing dance battles. Now, a sophomore in college, and a dance captain, backup dancers have been my main source of inspiration and it is somewhere I would love to get to one day.
Being in Ciara’s music video would impact my life highly. It would provide me with the ability to broaden my passion and talent for dance, as well as give me more experience with hip-hop dance. Being in Ciara’s music video would also impact my life as it would help me fulfill a dream I have always had- to be a backup dancer for a music artist. Backup dancers have always inspired me and they are my main inspiration with the choreographies I make with my dance team now.
With $20,000, I would do a multitude of things. I would put it towards getting a dance instructor who can help me broaden my talent even further. Additionally, I would use it to get an agent, that way I can connect with more artists and dance worldwide instead of in a dance studio on my small college campus. Lastly, I want to start a national foundation that advocates towards mental health & spreading awareness about it across the world.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
