Hip-hop, performance, and R&B have always been my foundation. I grew up listening to music from the '90s and 2000s, especially pop. But when it comes to dance, I love moving to any genre and have deep respect for all dance styles. When I was about nine years old, I felt a strong spiritual connection to Ciara. She sparked my love for dance. At first, it was scary,I feared judgment but watching her move gave me hope. It was like a beacon of light radiating through me.
I wasn’t always allowed to watch music videos, but Ciara has always been a legend in my eyes. She is and was my Michael Jackson. I recorded the Goodies music video on VHS to learn the choreography. I also studied the choreography for Promise and Like a Boy. As a male dancer, seeing a female move so effortlessly and boldly inspired me to dance, use my gift, and share it with the world—both as a child and now as an adult. It’s time to level up and make my dreams come true."
With $20,000, I would open up my own dance studio.
