My dance style is a mix of jazz, hip hop, and majorette. Growing up I also trained in ballet and modern but, I feel in love when I discovered the majorette style. I am also greatly inspired by artists like Michael Jackson and Ciara because of their outstanding showmanship and performance qualities.
Being in Ciara’s music video would be a dream come true because her talent and work ethic are very inspirational. Being that I am a self-taught dancer, this opportunity would not only be a blessing for me but also an inspiration to dancers all over who may not feel worthy or talented enough. I want to continue to use my platform to uplift and encourage young dancers and let them know that their dreams are worth fighting for.
I have always dreamed of opening a non-profit dance program for children in DC. When I was in high school I struggled greatly with suicidal thoughts and low self-esteem but, when I found dance my whole world changed. Dance gave me purpose for my life. In this generation, positive outlets for adolescents are far and few between. I want to create a safe space where they can be authentically themselves, work hard for their dreams, and encouraged to know that anything in this world is achievable.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
