My dance style is definitely a swaggy laid back but strong vibe - feeling the music, sounds, and lyrics is very important to me as it shows so much through my movements. I am inspired by all kinds of dancers in the industry, specifically Chris Brown and his back up dancers. Of course my main form of inspiration comes from my clients - seeing them transform and become happy in their bodies as they move inspires me every day.
It has always been a dream of mine to be a back up dancer. I feel like that energy would light me up inside and would be so evident watching me through the screen. I think it is so important for "normal people" to push their boundaries and set an example for all dancers. It is one thing to know someone is a wonderful dancer but it is another thing to see someone push doors open and pave the way as an average person who is chasing their dream.
I would be able to invest in my business - I own a dance fitness format for women of all levels, ages, and shapes to get the chance to disconnect from their regular lives and join me for an hour where they can dance with no judgement and feel not just accepted but welcomed. I think what I do is so important because it gives ALL women a chance to escape from life and have fun while doing something positive for their help. This prize would allow me to grow and reach so many more women!
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
