I am inspired by Divine. Dance has been my medium since I’ve discovered how close I feel to the most high. When I was at my lowest, i found myself at the park, dancing and crying with the trees. Most times, about an hour later, I was sweatier, lighter and more optimistic. My style is freestyle movement, kinda contemporary but mostly spiritual.. I would say.
Being apart of this opportunity would make me feel less alone. Where I’m from and where I currently reside, I feel like the odd one out most of the time. The chance to be around those greater and more skilled than me will encourage me to step out of this mentality and settle into the divine that I actually am born to be. Having this experience will also impress my babes so more than anything, I want to show them that dreams do evolve into reality.
The 20k would help support a new foundation for my children and I. As a single mom, it will enable us to relocate and set up home in a new, safe space. In addition, the funds will also provide for my art dreams; in turn, I can continue inspiring those who are inspired by my style of love.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
