My dance journey began with Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance form, which I consider the foundation of my training. I later explored Bollywood fusion and participated in competitions for both those styles. In the last 5-7 years, I’ve expanded my repertoire, experimenting with contemporary, hip hop, salsa, and more recently, heels. My dance style is a blend of these influences, constantly evolving as I explore new techniques and express myself through movement.
Being in Ciara's music video would demonstrate that anything is truly possible if you desire it deeply enough. While I have kept a low profile for most of my life, I am now ready to step into the spotlight. I am confident in my talent and eager to share my passion with the world. Opportunities like this have been rare for me, so being a part of this experience would mean the world and could serve as the catalyst for the dance career I've always dreamed of.
I would use the money to pay off my parents' debt. They are the hardest-working people I know. In 1993, they moved to the U.S. after escaping a civil war in Sri Lanka, and neither of them had the opportunity to attend college. My mom once worked three jobs just to make ends meet, while my dad often worked overtime and weekends. If there’s any money left after helping to clear their debt, I would love to put some money toward starting a dance studio that offers affordable classes for all.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
