My dance style stems from ballet, jazz, modern, and hip-hop. However, my specialty dance style is Jazz. This genre inspires me because it combines all of my versatile dance experience and illuminates a feeling inside of me that moves others. In college, I participated in the marching band as a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) dancer, utilizing jazz technique. That experience enhanced my stage presence, personality, and character when performing.
Being a part of Ciara's music video will impact my life because this will be a grand opportunity that proves that my dreams of becoming a professional dancer can come true. Also, since I started working in the corporate world, I did not know what else to do with my dance career. Since this opportunity has presented itself, I know that this is a chance to show how much I have to offer in the dance world.
With $20,000, I would invest strategically, pay down a significant portion of my student loans, and support my family in achieving a debt-free future.
