I grab inspiration from anywhere! I grew up around DC which heavily influenced my dance style, and it encouraged me to use hip hop as an emotional release, but contemporary is the true style of my heart. I’m always inspired by dancers that exude emotion such as Michael Jackson, Willdabeast, the Les Twins, Sean Lewis and more. I was also inspired a lot by my dance instructors growing up. Their originality and energy made me always strive to be a better dancer.
I don’t want fame or recognition, just to dance. Being able to do that alongside Ciara would bring something I think is greater than popularity: contentment. Knowing I was good enough, knowing I took this chance, knowing I put myself in a position to not only meet but work with someone who’s music heavily influenced my childhood. That alone would impact my life the most.
Full transparency, I need to pay off some debt! Once I do that, though, I would love to spoil my mom who has supported me more than I even knew a person was capable of.
