My dance style is a fusion of different street styles with my own flavor and vibe. These dance styles include but not limited to Naija fusion, Azonto, Ndombolo, Coupé Décalé, Amapiano, Hip Hop, Popping, and more. I am inspired by passion, the need to create change, the want to entertain, and connect with others through art.
I grew up learning from and dancing to Ciara's music videos. Being in Ciara's music video will allow me the chance to inspire others who watch the music video in the same way I was. The exposure and experience gained throughout the Dance Icon competition process will help me reach even bigger crowds and different space with my art.
Having a self-employment career as a dance artist comes with its financial burdens and challenges. Receiving the $20,000 will allow me continue to invest in my dance career and journey, and that of others. I will also be able to bring my creative ideas to fruition. This money will also be utilized as funding for Afrodance Connect, my dance brand that is committed to promoting cultural diversity and exploration of African street dance styles in the Pacific Northwest.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
