As an artist, I am trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, musical theater, and hip hop. The styles I connect with the most and want to pursue professionally in the commercial dance industry are jazz funk, hip hop, heels, musical theater, and jazz. I find inspiration in the numerous opportunities there are in this industry including music videos, commercials, broadway, backup dancing to name a few. I’m grateful for the way dance has impacted my life and excited to pursue it as a care
The opportunity to be in Ciara’s music video would greatly impact my life as there are not opportunities like this in small town Louisiana. I am a graduating senior and have not been able to audition in big cities yet. My dream is to pursue a career in commercial dance and this would help jumpstart that as I would make connections, gain experience working on camera, and acquire skills and knowledge for my future.
I would use the $20,000 towards college tuition for a BFA in Commercial Dance.
