My dance inspiration comes from the mixture of different cultures I was raised around. Being raised by Nigerian culture at home with street style at schools and local areas of south Kansas City growing up showed me how diverse and unifying dancing can be, as well as the chance to express individuality in ways that only your body and soul can communicate.
I am always looking to be surrounded by people who are more skilled and more knowledgable than me who hold themselves to the highest standards in any area of expertise that I pursue. For me, being able to work alongside a well-established professional dancer, singer and performer like Ciara would give me the opportunity to gleam wisdom, work ethic habits and artistic professionalism in the creative arts career field that I’ve wanted to be in my whole life.
With the $20,000, I would use it to help pay for my education (currently pursuing a second Bachelor’s in Music Performance for violin and then eventually a Master’s in Music Performance for violin). Also, I currently work two part times jobs in a way to support myself to pay for all my bills, take care of myself and pursue the career goals and endeavors I set out for. I also would use part of this money to build a strong financial future for myself and future generations.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
