Help me compete to become the Dance Icon and appear in a music video with Ciara and win $20,000!
I would say my dance style is a mix between hiphop/jazz and modern dance. Besides Ciara’s music videos from the early 2000’s, my inspiration for dancing came from my uncle TJ who would practice the old 00’s music videos choreo with me specifically ‘me & you’ by Cassie that was the first one I remember us doing when I was 5 & it impacted me to continue telling my story through dance.
Not only would this opportunity allow me to work with one of my idols, I would also be able to truly get a jump start into one of my passions which is being a celebrity choreographer/dancer. Being able to do what I love , in front of a crowd is exactly what I desire. It would be showing other black trans girls we CAN share our talents from the world even if you’re in the hood like me.
Winning 20k would literally put me back on my feet financially. I would be able to move out on my own (which I would pay months up on rent other bills) if I had extra left over I would use the rest to finish my degree in fire science so I can become a firefighter. I would hope to have a little left to invest in some stocks so I’ll have lucrative money as well.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
