My dance style consists of a contemporary-hiphop fusion. I also have a passion for jazz dance and technique. I believe jazz technique is important, and aids me in my dance journey. My biggest inspiration for my style is b-girls, as they have a deep understanding for strength and body control. I enjoy learning their techniques and tricks, such as flares and stalls. Incorporating these elements into my style allows me to push the boundaries of my movement and storytelling.
Being in Ciara’s music video would impact my life significantly. I am currently working to be a professional dancer out of college, and I dream of being on film. I love Ciara’s music and Ciara is my biggest inspiration for my choreography. I really enjoy performing in front of the camera and being a part of such a special project will help boost my dance career.
For starters, I would help pay off my college tuition loans. Recently my parents have been struggling financially, and paying for my college tuition has been a main struggle. With any leftover money I would save for after I graduate. I dream of living in an apartment in LA as a dancer, and this money will help me get started living on my own.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
