I am inspired by sound, a freestyle dancer. My style is a combination of the techniques I’ve studied over the years. I’ve taken classes in jazz, ballet, contemporary/modern and hip-hop. I have a love for majorette dance line and Afrobeats music. A bit of a chameleon, my style of movement is dependent on what I’m dancing to. Music sets the atmosphere and I adapt to my environment. It’s where I feel free!
Being in Ciara’s music video would be proof that anything is possible if I have faith in myself. I would have a lifelong memory. Made with an artist that inspired my artistry. It would build my confidence as a performer and encourage my dancers, the children in my life, to go after every great opportunity presented to them. Lastly it would give me the chance to learn and observe music video production in real time.
I would donate a portion of the money to the performing arts program I coach dance for. I would take most of it and invest in a multipurpose creative studio. Dance, photography, media, open mic nights, etc. My goal is to make an intentional investment that positively impacts whatever community I’m in through expression and art therapy. Lastly I would take my grandmother on vacation or somewhere nice because when I wanted to dance as a child she made sure I got to every rehearsal!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
