Help me compete to become the Dance Icon and appear in a music video with Ciara and win $20,000!
I was a child that did not have rhythm or a dancing ability. I had to work extremely hard to get where I am at with hard work. My dance style is very intense, fun, with the freedom to explore as a dancer. My inspirations are my dance mentors that saved my life and did not give up on me when I felt I had nobody.
It would prove I have purpose. I want to be a testimony to my students and the youth that if you love something and work hard at it, anything is possible. It would prove that I belong and that I am not a failure. I want to make my Grandmother who passed away 5 years ago proud. She is my biggest inspiration, she was a dancer as well and I want to continue her legacy and live her dreams
It will go to the dance studio I teach at. To help with equipments, bigger space, etc for the kids. I also would use it to help my mother who is currently unwell and assisting her with the cost of her medical care.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
