I grew up in a very small town and there was no dance studios or any dance opportunities available. Therefore, I was self taught in mainly hip hop and then moved out to Toronto in 2019 to train in a variety of styles. I fell in love with contemporary, but still love hip hop and really love fusing the two styles together. My dad used to breakdance in the streets when he was young and taught me my first dance move, the moonwalk. He has always been my biggest inspiration and supporter.
Dancing for an artist has always been my dream job as a dancer. And to dance with some like Ciara would be absolutely incredible. I have grown up listening/dancing to her music and have always admired her. Not only would life be an amazing experience, but it would open up so many doors as well. The dance industry is tough especially since I don’t have as much traditional training it makes it hard to even be given a chance. I know I’m capable and I have the passion and drive.
I would use some to help out my dad since he’s always helped me when I needed it. Our family never had a lot of money, but he would always give even the little he had to help support me and my little sister. I would use whatever is left to go towards a down payment on a house. It has always been a top goal of mine to own my own house. Now I have a partner that I want to marry and grow with and it would be a dream come true to buy a house together.
