My dance style can be seen as a mix of fierce, fun, athletic, and gritty. I love being able to show my feminine side, but also combine it with raw hip hop style that can showcase versatility and athleticism. I have looked up to entertainment professionals such as Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and of course Ciara for as long as I’ve been dancing. Growing up training in different styles of hip hop has opened so many amazing doors for me and I’m so excited to see what’s next!
Being in Ciara’s music video not only would be a once in a lifetime opportunity, it would prove that I can truly do anything I put my mind to. The dance industry is extremely competitive, and overwhelming, but when you have consistency, confidence, and passion, anything is possible. It takes a hundred nos to finally get a yes, and with determination I believe the opportunities are endless.
With the $20,000 I would buy a house for myself and my future family. Over the past few years I’ve moved so many times and have yet to have my own secure living space. Getting a chance to win this competition would finally give me the financial stability to invest into my future with also getting recognition and exposure in the dance industry.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
