I don’t think I can truly say I have a particular dance style. I love all styles of dance. I feel like this sponge trying to soak up every move, feeling, expression that I see in movement. I am inspired when I see dancers that genuinely love what they do. It’s in their movements, their facial expressions.. not just choreographed, but the honest feeling that comes with performing.
The opportunity to be in Ciara’s video would be unbelievable honestly. She is more than just a great artist. I look up to her for the kindness, generosity, and example she sets for girls and women everywhere. She puts family first just like my mom does. I would love to experience her amazing energy in person!
First and foremost I would Tithe. Next I would donate to Miracles in Motion which is a local dance program for children with disabilities. As a volunteer assistant I was so inspired seeing how dance transcended any limitations. Being able to donate to other organizations that support inclusivity in dance would also be immensely important to me. Winning would mean I would be able to afford other opportunities to further my dance education that I can’t necessarily now.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
