I find great inspiration in Big Freedia, the Queen of Bounce, who represents the essence of self-expression and happiness through dance. As a 6-foot-5 black gay man, I recognize that my capacity to bounce and twerk might not always be accepted by society. Nevertheless, my experiences with Big Freedia and performing on stage for her several times have strengthened my confidence in myself and a dream come true.
Being in Ciara’s music video would significantly amplify my visibility beyond just the DMV, NYC, and pride club scene. This is my chance to finally be recognized as the Twerk King that I truly am, and to fulfill the promise I made to my mom: “WHEN I BECOME FAMOUS.” Join me in making this dream a reality, because together, we can take this to a whole new level!
Ultimately, this gift would be about giving back to my mom, who has always given so much to us. She deserves to feel supported and cared for, and $20,000 could help provide her with a measure of relief she desperately needs and has more than earned. While it may not cure her Lupus, it would be my way of honoring the incredible strength and love she shows every day.
