I’ve danced since age 14. At 35, I almost quit, thinking I was too old. But dance has no age—passion and resilience make me a true icon.
Will Ruben Gonzalez step it up and appear in Ciara's upcoming music video? Public voting begins February 3rd at 9AM PST.
My dance style is clean, funky, and full of energy. I’m inspired by legends like Laurie Ann Gibson, Brian Friedman, Jojo Gomez, Luam, and Gigi Torres. I study their execution, timing, and power to refine my craft. Even when I took a break from dancing, I couldn’t stop binging their work and analyzing every detail. That inner voice kept pushing me, reminding me that my love for dance and movement never truly left.
Being in Ciara’s video would be a life-changing moment for me. It would mark my first major role and the first time I’ve truly put myself out there in a long time. It would symbolize believing in myself and taking a leap of faith. More than that, it would prove that every struggle I’ve faced has led me to this incredible opportunity. It would be a powerful reminder that perseverance and passion always pay off.
With the $20,000, I would fulfill my dream of moving back to Puerto Rico to reconnect with my roots and family. I want to use my passion for dance to inspire and teach the youth, helping them discover their potential and motivating them to aim for the big leagues. Giving back to my community and empowering the next generation through dance is a vision I’ve always wanted to bring to life.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
