My dance style is really inspired by the dancers I watched growing up like Ciara, Beyoncé, Missy Elliott, Janet Jackson and so many others. I love to groove, I love a big powerhouse, girl boss routine and now that i’m older i’ve been stepping into this maturity side of my dance journey including some heels and burlesque dancing! Bring in Ciara’s music video would truly rock my world. I’ve been dancing my whole life and in my college journey i’ve been struggling to find a way to put my foot in the door of the industry because I’m getting older and never really had anyone to teach me how to become the dancer I want to be. This opportunity would give me a chance to see the behind the scenes of what I want to do, be on set, continuous rehearsals. This opportunity would change my life.
With the gift of $20,000, because I come from a low income family and a single mother, the first thing I would do is find a way to help my mom get a car because I know that would be a huge weight off my moms shoulders and I really want to help her in any way I can. The second thing I would do is save the rest and put anything towards my own school bills and rent.
