Help me compete to become the Dance Icon and appear in a music video with Ciara and win $20,000!
I train in all different styles of dance but I would describe my style as an intricate modern based contemporary. I love incorporating lots of floor work and working through difficult transitions. When I dance, I play with hitting the beats but also switching with moving with the lyrics.
Being in Ciara’s music video would be such a dream come true. In the dance industry it’s very difficult to put yourself out there and to be seen. If I was picked this would be such a help to jumpstart my career and to be seen from different choreographers. And just being able to be an inspiration for others showing that no matter where you come from you can be seen!
I would use the money to help boost my education in dance. I was planning to go to college but ended up not being able to afford it. Also, having the opportunity to not have to worry about if I can go to an extra dance classes just because it’s expensive. I want to be able to do these things so I can help encourage others and be in new spaces with other artists!
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
