I love ALL styles of dance for what they each bring to the world. I gravitate toward contemporary, using movement where I don’t always have words. I also love the empowerment that comes with some sassy jazz!
Being in Ciara’s video would be fulfillment of a life-long dream at an age where I thought my glory days might be behind me. It would be the chance for me to shape the future narrative of what aging means for a dancer and to inspire anyone who still has that passion in them to let it out.
I would put that $20,000 right into my tuition! I am starting a master’s program this summer to become a licensed mental health counselor. My ultimate goal is to infuse the power of dance and movement with the benefits of mental health therapy for a total mind-body approach. I’m ready for the challenge of supporting myself through this career pivot, and to be able to put that money toward school would be such a blessing and relief.
