I am the epitome of “it’s never too late”. I had my first child at 37, got my BFA degree and am returning to dance at 43. I still got it!
Thank you for supporting me in this competition. Your donations and participation will benefit the Why Not You Foundation in their mission to fight poverty through education initiatives that empower youth to lead with a why not you attitude.
My dance style is whatever the music tells me. I’ve studied so many styles and love them all. The ones I like most have a great drum beat or rhythm. I love hip-hop, samba, salsa, cha cha cha, and Afro-Caribbean.
Being in Ciara’s music video would give me the chance to fulfill my lifelong dream to be recognized for my talents and years of hard work.
The first thing I would do with the $20,000 would be to pay down my school loans. Then I would invest in my future artistic endeavors. I’m a single mom and haven’t had extra money to spend on developing my singing voice and brushing up on my dance technique /expanding on my dance abilities. I’d like to invest in dance trainings, vocal coaching and in my own business. One dream I have is to open a school for the arts that includes perf. Arts, music and fine arts.
