My dance style is majorette, a dynamic blend of precision, rhythm, and athleticism. I was inspired by the energy and grace of majorette teams I saw growing up, particularly the way they combine twirling, marching, and high-energy choreography. The strong sense of unity in the performances and the way the dancers exude confidence and power sparked my passion for this art form. Majorette dance allows me to express myself while honoring tradition and pushing my physical and artistic limits.
Being in Ciara's music video would be a dream come true, not just because of her incredible talent, but because it would show that women of all sizes deserve a place in the spotlight. As a thick girl, representing diversity in beauty and strength would be empowering. It would motivate other women like me to push past societal standards, embrace their bodies, and keep striving for greatness, proving that confidence and self-love are key to achieving any dream.
If I win the $20,000, I would use it to pay off my student loan debt, lifting a major financial burden and allowing me to focus on my future. Additionally, I would invest in the materials I need to prepare for the LSAT, helping me take the next step toward law school and my career goals. The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
