I grew up training in a ballet academy where I was introduced to so much talent. Growing up, I was always inspired by Missy Elliot and Alyson Stoner. I was blown away by their creativity and confidence to pave their own path in the dance world. Because of them, I always wanted my style to be innovative and positively influence other creatives and dancers as well.
Outside of dance, I am a doctor of occupational therapy in neurorehabilitation. I use dance/movement in my practice to heal the patients I work with. Being a part of Ciara’s music video would allow me the opportunity to show that you can serve others while pursuing your own dreams and that there is space to be able to do both. Needless to say, I want to use this opportunity to inspire and positively influence people along the way who may be doubting their abilities and greater calling.
I am currently in the process of creating my own non-profit to bring medical support and dance/arts to a Children’s Village in Ghana. I’ve been on two medical mission trips to Ghana, Africa so far and work with children who were rescued from slavery and trafficking. I would use this money to build a dance studio and medical clinic there. I firmly believe dance/movement is healing so this would allow me to combine both and bring it to an underserved part of the world.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
