My dance style is a blend of contemporary, afro dance, and hiphop. I love combining the storytelling and fluidity of contemporary dance with the high-energy, rhythmic movements of hiphop to create something fresh and dynamic. My biggest inspiration comes from music itself. I often choreograph based on the emotions or story I feel in a song. Watching legends like Aaliyah, Ciara, Mya, Chris Brown also pushed me to explore movement in a way that feels authentic to me.
Being in Ciara's music video would be a dream come true. As a dancer, I've always admired how she blends incredible movement with powerful storytelling, and her music has been a constant source of inspiration for me. This opportunity would elevate my career by giving me the chance to learn from one of the best in the industry, gain exposure, and work alongside other talented creatives.
If I were to receive $20,000, I would use it to invest in my dance career and give back to my community. I would allocate a portion to go toward creating a dance video project that highlights underrepresented dancers and tells powerful stories. I'd also set some of the money aside for savings and support initiatives in my community, like funding dance classes for kids who don't have access to the arts. This opportunity would allow me to grow personally while making a positive impact on others.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
