I am trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and have recently explored Latin, African, and dance hall styles. When creating choreography, my inspiration comes from things that I have experienced or current events that are happening throughout the world. I use dance as a way to process my emotions and connect my mind and body. I teach jazz funk classes in exchange for donations to both local and international organizations that help the most vulnerable of communities.
Being in Ciara’s music video would be an amazing experience that I have worked for. Like many of my generation, I have looked up to Ciara as a performer since I was a little girl. She continued to be an icon and creates amazing art. Performing alongside her would give me the chance to impact other people’s lives with my own art. I’m so grateful to be considered for the opportunity.
With $20,000, I would donate $10,000 to an organization that provides emergency medical care to civilians in countries that are impacted by wars and natural disasters (Doctors Without Boarders). The remaining $10,000 would go towards providing free dance wellness programming for low-income children and youth in the Bay Area as well as children and youth in the foster system.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
