I would describe my dance style as a fusion between hip hop, contemporary, and Latin style dance. I grew up watching performers like Shakira, JLo, Beyoncé, and so many other amazing performers and have taken Inspiration from their styles and energy that they bring to the stage.
It would help me prove to myself that I am a DANCER. I grew up taking dance classes here and there but my family couldn’t afford to further my dance training. So instead I watched YouTube videos, joined school dance clubs, and found different ways to pursue dance. With that being said I’ve always had a hard time calling myself a real dancer because I lack classical training and to be given even just an opportunity to be in this video would mean the world to me.
I would use the money for my schooling. I’m currently in community college and I want to pursue a career in medicine. It’s an expensive dream and my parents have and are working so hard to help me achieve it. So with the money I believe I could lessen the financial stress being put on my family.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
