I've been dancing since I could match a tune with a swing in my hips. My mom caught me at just 2 years old, dancing and recorded it—marking the beginning of my lifelong passion. Dance is life for me, and I live to move. My style is ever-evolving because I love all forms of dance. Whether it’s contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, or something else, every style fuels my fire and keeps me inspired.
Being a part of Ciara’s music video would impact my life in countless ways. It would give me the chance to show the world what I’m truly made of and to shine in a way that’s never been done before. I would bring my unique dance personality to the video, adding some extra spunk and energy to every movement. For my family, this opportunity would be a huge source of pride, especially since it would open doors they never imagined possible at such a young age.
If I were awarded the $20,000, I would start by helping my mom with some of the challenges she’s currently facing. She’s always been there for me, my brothers and sister, this would be my way of giving back. The rest I would save for college, as I have dreams of attending an HBCU. It would be a step toward securing my future and continuing to chase my passions, both academically and through dance.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
