Emotions, music, connections and storytelling drive my inspiration. I find freedom within movement and I love performing. Whether making people laugh at my musical theater performance or invoking deep, rooted emotion through my contemporary, excitement with my jazz funk, I yearn to make the audience constantly feel and become a part of my journey.
Exposure and visibility as the video gains popularity, possibly be recognized more widely, which can open doors in the entertainment industry. It is also a wonderful career opportunity for aspiring artists as it can serve as a portfolio piece and lead to more work opportunities in the industry. Additionally the networking for the entertainment industry can lead to collaborations or mentorships and of course the amazing confidence boost and joy of performing for others.
If I was awarded the $20,000 I would first set aside funds anonymously to give back to a dancer at my studio that struggles financially for a competition season. Everyone deserves to be able to express themselves through their love for dance. Secondly, I would like to apply funds to further my dance education in various states across the country. Lastly, I would save the remaining funds towards my education. I truly believe I will be on Broadway one day!
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
