I am trained in a wide array of dance styles. However, being from The Bahamas, my island spunk naturally infuses itself into every style I embrace. This vibrant, cultural influence adds a dynamic quality to each dance style I have in my toolbox, which helps me to stand out in my own special way. It deepens the meaning behind my movements and fully conveys the joy and passion I feel when I dance.
Participating in Ciara’s music video would catapult my career to new heights, as this opportunity would allow me to truly shine in the commercial dance scene. Unlike the limited performing arts industry back home, the doors/rooms this video could lead me to are vast, making this opportunity truly life-changing.
With the $20,000, I would give back to my parents as they are and have always been so supportive of my journey. I would also use the money to take some bigger steps in my career. Additionally, I would donate to the Bahamas Down Syndrome Association in honor of my baby cousin's diagnosis, to support her community and make a meaningful impact.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
