I am someone who is well-versed in many styles of dance. I have been in Dance since I was a little girl. I danced in high school and in college. My inspiration started when I was dancing in high school for a performance and someone told me that I could dance for a big girl. That set something off in me. I knew I had a mission that was bigger than myself. Now, I have a dance team and I want to show my girls that it does not matter what size you are or what you look like you can win!
Being in Ciara’s video would be a dream come true! As a little girl I remember wanting to be like Ciara I had her dance tutorial videos,I would dress up in a jogging suit just like one of her videos “Promise” and make my cousins dance with me. Dancing with Ciara is something that I could have never imagine and for that to come true it would prove that all of my hard work is not in vain.
With the $20,000 I would fund and grow my business. I have a small business called the Eccentric Divine Dance Team. This money would be used for new uniforms, scholarships and hopefully a new rental space. We currently are given a space to practice in which limits us to certain days. I would love to give my girls more time in the studio. With offering scholarships, we are able to give a child the experience of dance if their parents are not able to Pay for their uniform or tuition.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
