My dance style is very fluid and organic. Depending on the song or the beat my styles range roughly from contemporary, hip hop dance and modern dance. My inspiration for dancing comes from feeling the music. When I tune in to the music and really listen, to the point where I can hear a single note and follow it, that is where the inspiration comes in. From there my body just moves and I feel happy, confident, an abundance of self love, and free.
Being in Ciara's music video would be a dream come true. I am not exactly sure how being in Ciara's music video would impact my life but I love to dance and being able to dance possibly alongside Ciara would be an amazing experience and I would cherish it forever. I'd imagine I would learn so much from just being in the presence of such amazing dancers. If I could look into the future I think the impact of being in Ciara's music video would definitely be a career change.
Winning $20,000 would help fund my life long dream of becoming a farmer and stewardess of the land. The money will help to acquire the land I need to start a farm to support not only myself, but my family and community. I have this utopian idea and dream that everyone should and can be sovereign beings. We should all have access to land and a connection to the food we eat. This would be my way to contribute to society through food education, access to land and building community.
