I have trained in a variety of styles ranging from traditional ballet to hip hop, which has provided me with broad dance experiences and opportunities. I am especially inspired when I get the chance to work with anyone new. I believe diversity is pivotal for growth both as an artistic and as an individual. I also find inspiration in performing and entertaining others, which pushes me to work hard and actively pursue opportunities to share my creativity and connect with others.
A chance like this would truly be a once in a lifetime opportunity. I am an about to graduate high school and I want to pursue a career in dance. I am currently applying to BFA dance programs and auditioning for employment. Dancing in Ciara's music video would not only provide me with an opportunity to grow as a dancer/artist/performer, but it would be an incredible start to my dance career and an opportunity I would be eternally grateful for.
Save it. Dance is a highly competitive field and one that is often challenging to find financial stability within. I am one in a family of six, my father is a pastor, and my mother is a substitute teacher and part-time photographer. My parents have provided me with a strong example of living within my means, being frugal, and making choices to prevent debt. This money would be an incredible blessing and invaluable resource as I am just starting my professional career as a dancer.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
