A former award winning competitive dancer, upon graduating from high school, I chose to continue my college education at the Studio School LA, in Los Angeles California where I received my BFA in Commercial Dance. Classically trained in multiple genres of dance such as Ballet, African, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Pointe, Tap and Hip Hop. Revered by many of my dance peers as a fierce competitor, known for precise hard hitting sassy movements.
Being in Ciara’s music video would reignite my passion for performing. I teach hip hop, commercial jazz, and technique to younger dancers from age 5-18, so I’ve forgotten about my drive to perform myself. This would be everything I needed to boost my confidence on and off set.
If I were to win $20,000 I would put that money into creating a non profit- safe space for dancers to both train and compete in ALL styles. I would apply all the knowledge I wish I received at a younger age, while also keeping mental health and body wellness as our main practice for dancer longevity! This would change EVERYTHING for my community. I do what I do to be someone else’s reason for saying “because of you I never gave up.”
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
