Well, I started dancing in 1998 when I was 6. I’m 33 now and still growing and evolving in my craft. The thing about Breaking is these days it can go in two different directions. The more sport driven direction or the more artistic direction. I lean more on the artistic direction. I find passion through it from the way I grew up. Surrounded by art, music and abstract ways of thinking to stand out or to break the “norm”. Although I still train like a athlete to keep the balance
First off, the exposure. I mean, everyone knows Ciara! Especially in the dance world. That kind of exposure can obviously lead to more opportunities. Also, I do believe that behind projects like these hold a strong community to make these things possible. And with a strong community of passionate people, getting involved and meeting new people open up doors to endless possibilities by itself. Also the impact it’ll also give 3 year old son to see his dad succeed at his passion is a parents
Truthfully, I’d free myself from debt first! Haha, it’s only 6k though, so with the other 14k I would INVEST! I’m a dance instructor professionally, and because I travel so much for it I mostly teach online when I am home, so firstly, I would most definitely build/upgrade my home studio. Secondly, I always had a dream of having a theater arts center/community center and I would most certainly invest into building that.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
