I am an Afrobeats dancer or Afro Dance. There’s so much that falls under Afrobeats genre! I like to express my style through the music and ultimately have fun! Growing up my biggest dance inspirations were Aaliyah, Brandy, Ciara, Janet + Michael Jackson, Usher even. It wasn’t until I was in my 20s where I begin to tap into my roots through West African traditional drum and dance while exploring and learning more about the urban street styles of Afrobeats
To be able to be apart of a video with Ciara would just be a dream! Being heavily influenced by her in high school, it definitely will be a door opener! I think Ciara holds a lot of tips and wisdom for young black girls coming into this industry and I would love to be able to obtain some of the wisdom
It definitely would be a blessing! I could help my family out with getting into a house; pay off some debts. Maybe a little self care for myself
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
