I have done majorette and lyrical dance. I’ve been dancing since middle school for small dance teams and have done a few competitions. In college I was on the dance and cheer team. In my first year I worked super hard and helped choreograph dances to perform for the school and never missed a practice. The following year I was cheer team captain, still on the dance team, and joined the step team. Dance is my passion, any chance I get to show off what I can do or just perform I jump at it
Being in Ciara’s music video will give me the chance to expose myself to a bigger audience to perform for. It will give other people confidence in coming to me when I open up my own dance studio. Lastly, it will give me the confidence to audition for bigger opportunities than what I have been going for.
With this $20,000 I would not hesitate to pay for online dance training at CLI Conservatory to expand my experience and knowledge in dancing, and I would get my dance business started. I would love to open a studio to teach youth how to dance and even start holding small competitions for the kids that really like to dance. I would also hold classes for adults and do the same with adult competitions. I would start local and would hope to expand if it takes off the way I want it to.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
