Tell us about your dance style or inspiration:

I remember watching TV and seeing Ciara's 1, 2 step video ft. Missy Elliot. The song just felt GOOD and made you WANT to learn the dance. The steps were simple enough to catch & looked great for anyone to DO. At the age of seven, my mother enrolled me in dance for tap and ballet. Being one of four people of color it was a giving that I was ALWAYS in large hip-hop routines; however, I tend to gravitate to other styles like contemporary, jazz, & modern.

How would being in Ciara's music video impact your life?

Being in Ciara's video will allow other small-town girls of color TO KNOW that the sky is the limit. To keep believing in yourself and NEVER STOP WORKING TOWARDS YOUR DREAM. It will also help support my business “The Black Ballerinas” to continue to provide safe spaces to explore the arts like ballet & modern.

What would you do with the $20,000?

Invest in “The Black Ballerinas”. Our goal is to provide every child with a sense of self-awareness and self-discipline by connecting with her/his mind, body, and spirit allowing them to sustain poise. Accountability will be taught through Ballet. We plan to explore opportunities that will become essential tools later in life.
