My dance style is deeply rooted in Bharatanatyam, a classical art form I showcased in my arangetram, reflecting years of dedication and discipline. It embodies storytelling, rhythm, and grace, which I love to blend with Bollywood's vibrancy and the dynamic energy of self-taught hip-hop. This unique fusion allows me to honor tradition while exploring modern expressions, making my dance a celebration of culture and creativity.
Being in Ciara’s music video would be a dream come true, giving me the chance to showcase my passion for dance on a global stage. It would be an opportunity to learn from an iconic artist, elevate my skills, and inspire others by showing how dedication and creativity can open doors. This experience would deepen my connection to the art of dance, boost my confidence, and motivate me to continue blending my classical Bharatanatyam roots with modern styles like hip-hop.
At just 16, I’d use the $20,000 to invest in my growth and give back. I’d dedicate part to advanced dance training to refine my Bharatanatyam and hip-hop skills, and use some to create videos that showcase my unique style. I’d also support my nonprofit initiative, funding education for underprivileged kids in India. The rest would go toward my future education, helping me pursue my dream of becoming a psychiatrist while continuing to inspire others through dance.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
