My dance style is all about connection—between dancers, movement, and the story being told. I blend different styles I’ve studied, making sure every move fits both the choreography and emotion behind it. My biggest inspiration is my dad. Even though he’s no longer here, he always believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. He pushed me to follow my dreams, and because of him, I strive to be a well-rounded dancer every day.
Being in Ciara’s music video would expand my reach, allowing me to bring more ideas to life and create new opportunities beyond my city and state. I’d be able to share my knowledge of ballet, jazz, ballroom, and modern with more people while using my craft to make a bigger impact. Most importantly, it would give me a voice that’s truly heard, helping me inspire others through dance.
I’d save some, cover a few bills, and invest in the studio where I work. We’ve had ideas for programs but lacked the funding to bring them to life. I’d start a program for at-risk youth—kids with incredible talent who just need an outlet. I’d also help create a boutique to market the studio and provide clothing for students who need it. This money would help us grow and give more dancers opportunities to thrive.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
