I’m the next Dance Icon because my passion is to inspire others in the HBCU dance community and because of my deep love for the art of dance
Thank you for supporting me in this competition. Your donations and participation will benefit the Why Not You Foundation in their mission to fight poverty through education initiatives that empower youth to lead with a why not you attitude.
My dance style combines Majorette, Hip Hop, Heels, Contemporary, Jazz, and Skating, each adding unique energy to my performances. I have been pursuing dance since age three, inspired by my father's creativity—stories my mother shared about him after his passing when I was six months old. Dancing serves as a tribute to his spirit, igniting my passion and driving my artistic growth. My aspiration to become a professional dancer is deeply rooted in this connection and my commitment to the art
Being in Ciara's music video would elevate my dance career, allowing me to inspire individuals from HBCUs and underprivileged communities. This opportunity would affirm my commitment to dance and support my ambition of opening a dance studio. Collaborating with Ciara would provide crucial insights into the professional dance world, enhancing my skills and enabling me to guide aspiring artists. Ultimately, this experience aligns with my goal of fostering confidence and resilience within the arts.
If I received $20,000, I would prioritize paying off my tuition debt to relieve financial stress. Next, I’d invest in my traveling dance business, focusing on marketing and improving services for growth. I’d also set aside some funds to thank my mother for her support, perhaps with a meaningful gift or covering her expenses. Finally, I would save the remainder for future investments or unexpected costs, aiming for stability and success.
